Terms of Service

Last updated: April 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

motherlode.bet (the "Interface") is a non-custodial, open-source web front end that lets users interact with publicly deployed smart contracts on the Solana blockchain (the "Protocol"). By accessing the Interface, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Interface.

You acknowledge that the Interface and the underlying Protocol are autonomous, immutable software. The publisher of the Interface ("we", "us") does not custody user funds, does not act as a counterparty to any transaction, does not match user activity, and does not operate the Protocol on your behalf.

2. Nature of the Interface

The Interface displays public state from the Solana blockchain and helps users construct transactions that interact with a permissionless smart-contract program. The Protocol settles outcomes deterministically against the publicly observable mining payout produced by the ORE protocol. The Interface exposes a discrete-outcome event-prediction game in which users select a numerical band that corresponds to the realized mining payout for the cycle.

All outcomes are determined exclusively by deterministic on-chain logic and verifiable public data. The Interface is experimental software provided "as-is" without warranties.

The Interface is not a casino, sportsbook, lottery, gaming platform, or gambling service. It is not a broker, dealer, exchange, money-services business, money transmitter, or financial institution. Nothing displayed in the Interface constitutes investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.

3. Eligibility and Geographic Restrictions

You represent and warrant that you (a) are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater; (b) have full legal capacity to enter into this agreement; (c) are not subject to any sanctions administered by the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United Nations, or any other applicable authority; and (d) are not located in, organized in, or a resident of any jurisdiction in which access to the Interface or use of the Protocol would be unlawful.

Access to the Interface is prohibited from any jurisdiction in which the underlying activity is restricted or unlawful, including but not limited to the United States and any U.S. territory, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Singapore, the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Cuba, the Crimea region of Ukraine, and any jurisdiction that prohibits the activity for any reason. You are solely responsible for determining whether your access to or use of the Interface is lawful in your jurisdiction. The publisher disclaims all liability for use of the Interface by users in restricted jurisdictions.

You agree not to circumvent any access restriction by using a virtual private network, proxy, IP-masking technology, or false identification.

4. Self-Custody of Funds

The Interface uses a standard Solana wallet adapter for browser wallets (e.g. Phantom, Solflare) and Privy for optional embedded Solana wallets. The Interface reads public addresses and requests transaction signatures from the wallet you choose. The Interface and its publisher never request, hold, store, or have any access to your private keys or seed phrases.

CRITICAL: You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases. We cannot recover lost keys, reverse signed transactions, restore access to a compromised wallet, or assist with any transaction once it has been broadcast to the Solana network. All on-chain transactions are permanent.

5. Pricing

The Protocol applies a smart contract fee of 10%, included in the displayed price. This fee may be changed at any time at our sole discretion. Solana network fees are paid by you directly to the network.

6. Risks and Disclaimers

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Interacting with experimental blockchain software involves substantial risk. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Interface and the Protocol are experimental software and may contain bugs, errors, or vulnerabilities.
  • You may lose, in full, every amount you transmit to the Protocol.
  • Smart-contract interactions are irreversible. Once signed, a transaction cannot be undone.
  • Solana network congestion, RPC failures, or downtime may cause transactions to fail, be delayed, or be ordered unfavorably.
  • Outcomes are determined by the public state of the ORE mining protocol, which is outside our control and which may itself be modified, deprecated, or fail.
  • On-chain oracle data, if any, is subject to manipulation, latency, and disruption risk.
  • Cryptocurrency price volatility may materially affect the realized economic value of any payout.
  • We make no guarantees about returns, profitability, eligibility, the timing of cycle settlement, or the continued availability of the Interface or the Protocol.

7. No Advice; No Solicitation

Nothing on the Interface constitutes financial, investment, legal, regulatory, accounting, or tax advice. The Interface does not solicit any user to enter any transaction. You should consult your own qualified advisors before engaging with the Protocol. You are solely responsible for your own tax reporting and compliance.

8. No Warranties

THE INTERFACE AND THE PROTOCOL ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE INTERFACE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PUBLISHER, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE INTERFACE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON OR THROUGH THE INTERFACE; (C) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT; (D) ANY DEFECT, ERROR, EXPLOIT, OR FAILURE OF THE PROTOCOL OR THE UNDERLYING ORE PROTOCOL; OR (E) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATED TO THE INTERFACE OR THE PROTOCOL.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Interface shall not exceed the greater of (i) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100 USD) or (ii) the amount you paid directly to us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim. You acknowledge that the Interface does not generally collect any direct payment from users.

10. Assumption of Risk

You expressly assume the risk of any and all losses arising from your interaction with the Interface or the Protocol. You agree that no claim, action, or proceeding may be brought against the publisher for any loss arising from (a) the action or inaction of the ORE protocol or any underlying oracle, (b) the action or inaction of the Solana network or any validator, (c) the action of any third party, including any other user of the Protocol, or (d) the publication, modification, or removal of the Interface.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the publisher, its affiliates, and its contributors from and against any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost, or liability (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected to (a) your access to or use of the Interface, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, or (d) any activity associated with your wallet address.

12. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases.
  • Only sign transactions you have read and understood.
  • Use the Interface only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws of every jurisdiction relevant to your activity.
  • Not access the Interface from a restricted jurisdiction or while subject to sanctions.
  • Not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or exploit the Interface or the Protocol.
  • Not use any automated system, bot, or scraper that abuses the Interface.

13. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Use the Interface for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Use the Interface in a manner that constitutes money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions evasion, market manipulation, fraud, or any other illegal activity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Interface, the Protocol, or any related system.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Interface in a manner that violates applicable law.
  • Transmit malicious code or engage in any activity intended to harm the Interface, the Protocol, or any user.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
  • Circumvent any access restriction, including jurisdictional restrictions, through use of a VPN, proxy, or false identification.

14. Open-Source Software; No Custody

The Protocol's smart contracts are deployed on a public blockchain and continue to operate independently of the Interface. The publisher of the Interface does not control the Protocol, does not custody user funds, and cannot freeze, reverse, or alter any on-chain transaction. Your ability to redeem any payout owed to you by the Protocol is governed entirely by the on-chain program and is not contingent on the continued availability of this Interface. You may interact with the on-chain program directly using any compatible tooling.

15. Termination

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without notice, to suspend, restrict, or remove the Interface, or to disable any user's access to it, at any time and for any reason. Termination of access to the Interface does not affect the on-chain Protocol or any right you may have under the on-chain logic itself.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an update to the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Interface after such an update constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. To the extent permitted by law, you and the publisher each agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Interface shall be resolved on an individual basis only, and that you waive any right to participate in a class action or class arbitration.

18. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the publisher with respect to the Interface and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings.

19. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please reach out through the channels disclosed on the Interface.
